Our Lady of Guadalupe, Lacrosse, Wisconsin

Charles Beck helped create this beautiful new Catholic church and shrine while working with Duncan Stroik in South Bend, Indiana. This shrine, originally conceived by Cardinal Raymond Burke, has quickly become a place of great pilgrimage in the Catholic Church. The design is based upon classical principles and is meant to bring to mind the great churches of the Italian Renaissance. As a place of contemplation, the church is designed to direct souls to God through the use of vertical proportioning, beautiful forms and solid construction.
